Meet the Secretariat
Carlos Yera
Secretary General
Carlos Yera is a Junior majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Studies. With a passion for Model UN, Carlos has been part of the UCFMUN since his Freshman year and doing MUN since his Junior year in high school. Carlos has served as the Executive Director for KnightMUN XXII and is the current President of UCFMUN. Carlos in his free time enjoys 3D modeling, composing music, and telling non-STEM majors that "it's not rocket science". Carlos is excited and can't wait to see everyone for KnightMUN XXIII.
Max Seltzer
Executive Director
Max Seltzer is a Junior majoring in Political Science on the Pre-Law track with minors in National Security, International Studies and Film. This is Max's third KnightMUN and first time as a member of the Secretariat. Currently at UCF Model United Nations, Max serves as the Vice President of Programming. Outside of Model United Nations, Max is a founding father for Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and serves as the Vice President of Risk Management. On the side, Max works as a Senior Community Organizer for Men4Choice and a substitute teacher while making time for Dungeons and Dragons and Washington Wizards or Baltimore Ravens game whenever they come up.
Ethan Casillas
Chief of Staff
Ethan Casillas (He/Him) is a Sophomore majoring in Political Science and Economics. This is Ethan's second year in UCF MUN and he's delighted to be the Chief of Staff for KnightMUN XXIII. Outside of MUN, Ethan loves to go indie concerts and reading. With more years of MUN ahead of him, Ethan is looking forward to being a part of the secretariat, and creating a fun environment for the delegates!
Gianna Florentino

Gianna Florentino (She/They) is a Senior pursuing a major in Biology. Gianna has been actively engaged in MUN since high school, and this marks their third year of involvement with UNA@UCF. Gianna loves animals and cherishes spending quality time with her friends and creating memories! With her enthusiasm for both global affairs and the wonders of the natural world, Gianna is excited to make KnightMUNXXIII a memorable one!
Aleks Georgiev

General Assembly
Alexander (Aleks) Georgiev is a Junior majoring in Chemistry with a minor is disaster management, and has been a member of UNA@UCF and KnightMUN since he joined last year. Aleks is the Undersecretary of GA for KnightMUN, and he is passionate about chairing. Outside of MUN, Aleks enjoys researching his multiple intellectual interests and keeping current on international affairs. This summer, Aleks got to spend time with his family in Bulgaria where he helped tend to their multiple crops! Aleks loved being a chair in his General Assembly last year, and he is excited and honored to be part of the undersecretariat and make sure all KnightMUN GAs are the best they can be!
Theo Gatsacos

Theo Gatsacos (she/they) is a junior majoring in Advertising and Public Relations. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Theo has been doing MUN since her sophomore year of high school. Theo currently serves as the PR Director for UCFMUN. Outside of MUN, Theo is a Resident Assistant (RA), a member of Delta Zeta, and loves F1, WWE, Sanrio, and KPop.
Sebastian Gonzalez Saldarriaga
Director of Fundraising
Sebastian Gonzalez Saldarriaga (He/Him) is a junior studying Industrial Engineering with double minors in FinTech and Real Estate. Sebastian participated in Model United Nations for three years in high school and is entering his second year with UNA@UCF. Outside of his academic pursuits, Sebastian enjoys playing beach volleyball, exploring personal finance strategies, diving into coding projects, and manga. Hailing from Broward/Miami and with family roots in Peru and Venezuela, Sebastian is also in touch with his multicultural background. He is ecstatic to see everyone at KnightMUN XXIII
